Teen DiariesAs we have four children who have successfully made the transition to Canada, we thought that it would be useful for those with teenagers to get an insight into life in Canada from a teenager's point of view.
Below each of them introduces themselves. You can keep up with each of their diaries by following the links below. If you want to follow up on any of the entries, then please send us an e-mail; we will be happy to help out.
And now, inspired by the children, we have added our own reflections on life in B.C. Not so much a diary, more a commentary on anything that comes to mind. Let's hope some of it is interesting!
My name is Laura and I was 17 years old when I came to Canada. Moving to another country is an experience of a lifetime however it can make or break you. Luckily I pulled through and settled in however there were many surprises along the way. Hopefully my accounts of life in Canada will benefit you all.

My name is Alice. I am the third daughter and so I have to work at getting attention. I love it here. It is surprising how quickly I settled in and now I don't have much in common with my old friends in England. They don't snowboard or sail! I still keep in touch on MSN though.

Hi my name is Greg. I was 12 years old when we came here. When I moved I had to switch to a new school. Then, after a year, move into a new high school. It has been tough adapting to a new life in B.C but when you look back you can see how much better your life is.

My name is Jasper and I am a 4 year old border collie. My interests are going for walks, foood, chasing sticks, food, chasing balls, food and sleeping on the sofa. And did I mention food? As for chasing sticks and balls, I love this but I refuse to bring them back.
It is much more fun to torture my master. I love to hear him shout "fetch" or "bring it here" as I run off or lie down staring at the stick. Anyway I have had an interesting life, starting out in the UK and now here in the land of trees.
